27th Annual Greater Tennessee Valley Antique Car Show

The weather was hot but so were the classic cars, hot-rods, can trucks at the show this year. The show ground was filled with almost 600 vehicles this year and the crowds continued to grow as the owners of these classic rides wiped and polished their paint to a glossy perfection! Tents and chair were filled with families and pets as everyone enjoyed this yearly antique car show, but this show is not just for the older cars and trucks anymore. The organizers of this show decided a few years ago to open it up to all cars, trucks, and bikes. The modern muscle cars have made it cool to bring your showroom fresh Mustang/Challenger/or Camaro and show it off.

If you were able to attend this year’s show you also saw a big increase in the swap meet area! It seems everybody is looking for parts to restore their own classic car or even buy one of the many that were on display. There were also plenty of “man cave” signs and oil/gas collectibles to purchase. Don’t worry lady’s there was even arts/crafts/jewelry on sale if you are not into the whole car thing.

On the south end of the show grounds the food vendors filled the air with all the tasty hot dogs, hamburgers, corndogs, and other goodies they had for sale. Live entertainment was provided again by Michael Dean as Elvis and as always the 50-60’s tunes were blasting for your enjoyment!

Lynn Layton Chevrolet was the sponsor again this year and brought a few of their new cars and trucks to be displayed.
