2003 BMW M3 Detail

2003 BMW M3

We had the opportunity to detail this 2003 BMW M3 a week or 2 ago. The owner had just recently picked up the car and it had been "detailed" by the dealership. The paint had a bit of marring and swirling in the paint. After talking to the customer we settled on a Stage 1 polish over the entire car. Having just been picked up from the dealership not long before the car was brought to us, the interior was quite clean, and allowed us to concentrate on the exterior of the car. The exterior was not very dirty visually but had alot of contamination settled and embedded in the paint under the wax that the dealship had put on the car.

We started by cleaning the wheels with Sonax Full Effect (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...525/500-ml-S1/) with a E-Z wheel detail brush (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php.../Full-Size-S1/).
Before:
During:
After:

Once the wheels were cleaned we began washing the car with Chemical Guy's Maxi-Suds II (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...P224/16-oz-S1/) using the 2-bucket method and Sheepskin Wash Mitts (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...ash-Mitt-P120/).

Once the car had been cleaned we dried the car using large Waffle-Weave Microfiber towels (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...00/36-x-24-S1/) for the large panels and Ultra-Plush Microfiber towels for the rest of the car (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...05/16-x-16-S1/). The car was then taped and then clayed using Clay Magic Fine Grade Clay bar (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...-P41/200-g-S1/) with Chemical Guys Synthetic Quick Detailer and Clay lube (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...P220/16-oz-S1/).

Once clayed we got a chance to see the true condition of the paint on the car:

Hood:
Rear Passenger Quarter Panel:
Driver Door:
Rear Driver Quarter Panel:
Mirror:
Driver front Fender:
Front Bumper:
Passenger side of hood:
Passenger front fender:

We then began to polish the car using Menzerna Intensive Polish (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...-P72/32-oz-S1/) using a Flex XC-3401 buffer (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...3401-VRG-P128/) using a 6.5" Lake Country Tangerine Pad (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...ad-P407/65-S1/) and a Porter Cable 7424XP (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...l-Buffer-P331/) using a 4" Lake Country Tangerine Pad (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...407/4-inch-S3/).

50/50 shots and finish (Most of these pictured didn't come out very well):

Once we had finished polishing the car we glazed the car using Chemical Guys EZ-Creme Glaze (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...P192/16-oz-S1/) on the Porter Cable buffer. Once the Glaze had been applied we then sealed the car using Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant (http://www.detailedimage.com/wax.php...P589/16-oz-S1/).

These are the final results:

Thanks for viewing, I hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed working on it!

That's nasty! I've always loved E46 M3's especially with those wheels.

You can bring them to us when you are ready or if we can work it out we might possibly be able to come to you. We understand their are customers out their that don't drive their cars and enjoy them in the comfort of their own home. Its in the works but a mobile service could arise sometime soon once cLc and I talk about it and im pretty sure that we could work out a Huntsvillecarscene special discount for you as well Samir

It's my parent's cars and I really hate to see all the swirls that the dealerships are putting in them. I really want to get them away from the misguided service they're getting from the dealerships and bad washes. Better to take the cars where the service is done right and the cars look great. And between YES Automotive and TruFacts Racing, I've got my sights set. All I need now is time...

Time with us is nothing to worry about we work around the customers All they have to tell us is when and we tell them how long is to be expected for completion of the job. 2 cars with a stage one polish will take 2 days start to finish. We would be happy to give your parents cars the TLC that they deserve.

I just want to give a big thanks to both guys for the work they did on my M3. When I arrived we pulled in the garage and they set up the lights on it. I thought I had a good shine until they put the light on her. In the end it looks fantastic and is smooth as glass. I highly, highly recommend these guys if you want a professional job. You can tell they take pride in their work and will go ot of their way to help. Thanks again and next month you two can start on the camaro.
