I finally got the grille in the Cuda. There is a long story with this car and the grille. I will share the readers digest version so my excitment over the grille going in does not seem weird. Bought the car for a bargain because the first owner lost the grille when it was at the paint shop and could not find one anywhere. (highly suspect the paint shop damaged or sold the grille). I order a refurb grille with a 3 month lead time. 9 months waiting for a grille, Grille got cancelled by vendor, put car on E-bay out of frustration of waiting 9 months and no grille. Car did not sell on E-bay, found after market fiberglass grille one week later.. ordered grille. Car now driveable....finally!

I thought the strenght in a bug was in its body not the floor pan?? Am I wrong? I know when they roll over they come out fairly well for what was an ecomony car originally.

yep unibody,

two piece body, ( shell) and pan, ( back bone & floors)
pre superbettles, the pan could be drivin with out the body
hence the buggies and relacars use vw's

That sucks! I liked the black primer look. Glad he's ok but tragic for the car. What hit it and how bad did the driver come out of it??

set the windsor over in the hoss last nite . werent no trouble at all. seems i also lost my original trans cross member but it aint no prob to fab one up. only grief i expect is making the clutch cable work . but that wont be a prob either if the pinto pedal will fit. the car sure is lighter and sits better without that 800 lb big block. i really dont expect much of a loss in performance. and if so i simply will step up to a 200 nos plate . although ive not ever run nitrous on a stick car. should be on the road before the mini cruise. got to be warm and dry though

NOS and stick? Are you running single stage plate and a throttle actuated switch? I hope it runs for the mini cruise. Let me know if I can help with anything.
