Local "Cars-In-Barns" thread

Seeing those pictures of that Pinto in the weeds, perhaps a great thread would be a local version of Cars in Barns showing cars that have been sitting for years , rotting to the ground, where the owner says it's not for sale and that they're going to restore it "someday".

Here's the real site (get those hankies ready):Cars in Barns Website

Of course we may have to add that Grabber Orange '70 Mach One and the 428 Cobra sitting at the Gullatt's place as the first entries...

There is a 69 Green Mach 1, looks to be a 351 car, no shaker, but the solid hood scoop that has been sitting in Morgan City behind a house and garage for years... grass grown up all around it.. I have often wanted to stop and ask, but am sure that it is one of those not for sale cars.. sigh....

I've seen that car - it's a rare 390 Mach 1. There is also an orange '70 Fastback sitting in the same field. And you're right - they're not for sale.

I saw a 1970-ish Dodge Challenger out in Harvest somewhere. Lime green. Looked to have some street slicks on it, and was in pretty good condition too. Light rust. The guy said he would sell it, but I'd have to pull it out and he didnt have any keys for it. The doors were locked. It had potential, but the guy was trying to rip me off really. He said it was a guy's that moved to California and he said he'd be coming back for it and he never did.

My ears perked up when I heard rumor of this one since its my absolute dream car: Someone once told me about a 1969 Dodge Charger that was hidden behind some brush or a barn or something on a road out in Lauderdale county. I rode up and down the road for about an hour or so to no avail. Couldn't find it ANYWHERE...but people swear its there.

I may take a look out there next time I am in the neighborhood. Only problem is that charger is a 68. I just hope you got the years confused and the man is ready to sell.

I have indeed had these cars in question sitting much too long!
When the opportunities came along to aquire them years ago, I had to use my grocery money (I don't eat bologna anymore), put off paying my mortgage(s) (finally got them paid off), and even sold the only car I had running to buy a project car. These Mustangs and Fords are ready to be restored and am in the process of preparing a building site for a 33 x 40 building. Help! I need concrete money! Anyone who loves Mustangs and would like to see me get these Fords inside so they can be restored view the link below.
