NAVWC's 2006 Bug'n In July

Just wanted to post a thread with some info about the North Alabama Volkswagen Club's annual charity car show, Bug'n in July.

It's July 22-23, 2006 at Point Mallard Park in Decatur. Lots of classic aircooled VW's and even some late-model water pumpers (Jetta's, GTi's). We're having an engine & stereo sound off and hopefully an engine blow (rig a nearly toasted dub motor to run wide open till she blows).

Anyway, you can get all the info, directions, etc you need at our official Bug'n in July page.

Shouldn't be too hard to blow up that motor, just slap some cheapy fuel filters on it near the carb. Works for most bugs.

What kind of power are you going to put in the '59?

A reminder to all that plan to attend...Please
take a moment to visit the HCS events calender and
affirm that you plan to come; this helps out-of-towners
that are unfamiliar with the show see that it already
has lots of local interest. Thanks!

We should have a 50/50 on the motor blow. Pay x to have a guess at the time, closest one to the time gets the pot, rest is donated. I think a lot of people would buy $1 guesses. The curiousity would be overwhelming.
