Thumbs up Great Guy in a Yellow Mustang

My son and I were driving by Obryans on Tuesday at about 8:15 and a very nice, yellow, mustang (raised hood, sounded great, large TAC on the dash) pulled in behind us. Looked like he may have wanted to go a little bit, so we followed him to 72 on Hughes road and gave it a run - we ran it through 2 gears and he had a very strong car. We pulled ahead of him a little at the end of 2nd gear. We slowed down to talk to the guy and he handed my son a Rocket City Mustang Club hat out the window. Needless to say, my 12 year old thought that was great and made the comment that you don't get those kind of people driving ricers and porches - I think he is right. What a great guy!!! My boy is now totally sold on muscle cars and we're planning on coming to the next meeting. I wish I knew who the guy was - maybe someone can let me know.

See you all at the next meeting!!!

If he had been racing one of the countless fast imports in town his son would not have had time to grab the hat because the RICER would have been five lengths (or more) ahead. That's nice that the guy happened to be in a muscle car that gave away the hat, but there is still no need to say that people driving other types of cars are incapable of doing anything nice. I don't go around pointing out the bad people that drive muscle cars just because i like imports. There are good and bad people that drive all different types of cars. I could sit here and flame on muscle cars all day but that wouldn't be the nice thing to do.

Glad to hear you had a positive "run in" with one of our members . That was Andy in his yellow fox body. He is our club treasurer. We would love to have you guys come out to our next meeting, July 18th at the new Casa Blanca across from the Madison Square Mall. I would also like to invite you guys out to a monthly cruise in the first Wednesday of the month at the Dairy Queen on 72 in Madison. Lots of old and new muscle cars show up. Don't let the comments above get you down, I believe they are from non club members.

Hope to see you out and about,
Mike

Andy is one of the most personable people I know. Plus he does top-notch work when it comes to cars. Now if I can get time with him to weld on this sway bar mount I tore off the frame. *chuckle*

03CobraRedfire, please feel free to drop by. We have a roster of 66 members at this time and frequently have guests stop by. It's an amazing sight to have such a diversity of Mustangs parking in one spot just to get together, have a bite to eat, and generally talk about the club activities and other interests in a family setting. Why, just last night we had cars from Mark's 66 Emberglow convertible to several 05/06 models. And when I say family setting, I mean it. Bill Dunwoody and his wife brought out their 19-week-old precious one.

whitegsteclipse sez...
"There are good and bad people that drive all different types of cars."
This is very true. As with everything in Life(tm).
