WTB: Nissan 240 Transmission

Hey fellaz I have a buddy that needs a new Transmission for his 240. It is a 1990 Nissan 240, but has a 1995 motor in it. It is still a KA24, I am not sure of the differences in year though. So if anyone knows were a good used tranny is for this car please let me know. Thanx

If it has a 95 motor, then the motor is a ka24de (dual overhead cam and electronic fuel injection are the differences, I believe). I doubt you'll find a tranny locally, as there aren't too many of these cars around town in salvage yards.

He has already gotten 3 tranny's but none of them are in good enough shape to put in his car. I know there are not many in the junk yards, but there are alot of them in people's yards.lol I know of about 3 right now, and the people that own them are those kind of people that say "Well one of these days I am going to make a little racer out of it, so i am just going to keep it for now." or "Well I was going to set it up for a V8 about 5 years ago when I got it, but i haven't gotten around to it yet. I will just hold on to it for now, in case I decide to do it one day." lol I know that Dustin at Universal Imports is a really big NISSAN guy and can get just about anything you want for one. He is looking for one for us right now. Hopefully he will come up with one. If not we are just going to buy all the gears, syncros, etc... brand new and build it ourselves.

Ive got a 95 trans IN my car that i would part with and a 93 extra that i ran before going with the current 95 motor/trans setup. Any dual cam tranny will work. The plugs are different tho. He MIGHT need to buy plugs or the right sensors for it.

He already has a 95 Motor and Tranny in the car now. The tranny in it does not have 5th gear though. How much do you want to part with them?
