accord trunk swap

I thought the 4th gen sedan (92/93) trunk swap on my 1990 Accord coupe turned out fairly well so I decided to post some pics.

Just got this completed last night.

Interior trunk latch is fully functional but I still have to figure out if it's possible to switch the locking mechanism from my old trunk into this one. This is so I can retain use of my current key.

Above: Left side inner and out tails don't line up. Left rear was probably hit(see bumper directly under), so it doesn't line up with the new trunk. Not so happy about this... ah well

Not such a very good picture, but here's the old rear end (trunk and tail lights)

above: This is the rear end that came with all 1990 and 1991 model Accords (sedans and coupes). Mine is a 90 coupe btw.

1992 and 1993 model sedans came with the rear end that I have just swapped in. 92 and 93 coupes had a slightly different inner light design.

I did this swap because I like the cleaner look of the sedan rear end.

I thought it would be unique and interesting to combine this with the coupe body.

Wow, I know we talked about this only a day ago and it's already done?!?! You move quick on it.

I definitely see what you mean about the cleaner look. Looks good. If you ever remember me taking a shot of the rear before, let me know and I'll look it up.
