Exclamation Alabama Window Tint Law

Don't know if you guys & gals new this but I found it out through the guy that usually tints my windows. He has used it several times.
I got pulled over in the new Charger for my tint!
Just got a warning though.

Check this out; http://www.dps.state.al.us/public/hi...ol/tintlaw.asp

Go to the bottom of the page....I have my prescription in the glove box!!

They can't do a THING!! You may have to go to court to show your prescription, but they will throw it out.

You will be "Medically Exempt." ROTFL!!
Can't wait til he stops me again. Maybe I can get a pic of his face then post it!

This will even allow you to have the front tinted entirely if you want...legally!!

Already knew about it. The hard part is getting the medical exemption. PM me if you have info.

I am just not of the mindset to dare a cop to pull me over.
I don't need nor want the hassle.

As long as it's 32% it's still legal.

I don't recall there being a specific law about charcoal/mirrored tint. As far as I know the law in the link is the complete law, only dealing with % of visibility coming through.

Mine is much darker than that, I know...I know....but it looks sooo much better!! They also give you a 3 degree variance, he told me 29% was legal. I know...yee ha!!

I would bet that Trooper Singleterry won't cut any slack though. Whew!!

I spoke to the lady at the DMV & she said flat out as long as it mentions sensitivity to the sun it would be approved, but that if you can get it to mention skin sensitivity it is a definate given. She told me this yesterday.
I even have her name, the note taker that I am! LOL!

Funny thing is, I pass a County Deputy shooting radar EVERY MORNING while taking my girls to school. I see him looking at the car, but no County or City Unit has even acted like they were interested in pulling me over, just the State??!!

When I had 32% all the way around my Sentra (even down the front), a Madison City popo did a u-turn and came after me for it. Must've been a slow day. So I had to pull that off and I went back and got 15% on the back. I recently had that redone in 20% and now I'm going to get 20% all around (except the front).

They dropped my ticket last year, so this is true. I went to my eye doctor and got a perscrption that said "Robbie can have tint less than 35% all around due to his eye surgery." Went to court and told the judge I went through a process to get a permit for it and he saw the percription and said okay you can go.
