What do you guys think??? I don't like it, why is every car comapny now moving toward a 5 door hatch (ie. Dodge Caliber SRT-4, Mazda 5 Speed edition)

so they can attract more buyers with less tooling.

Yeah, there are less "tools" in the 5 door car market.

Underneath the stormtrooper protective treatment, I think it would look quite good. Although it seems small like the Mazda Protege 5/3 wagon.

That's a lot of power though. I wonder where the power war is going to end. Another oil crisis? Oh wait, that hasn't stopped it, lol.

they can market to different groups with one car.... that saves on tooling.
no need to make a 2door, 3door, 5door model.

Oh, I know exactly what you meant. Thought I'd try to twist the words and see how it went.

My father worked at Ford for almost a decade designing the steering systems on the Lincolns and Zephyrs in the early and mid 1970s. I still remember him and his co-worker and friend with an older Buick always working on the cars. I need to get him retired and back to those days. Then I won't have to find time to maintain my own cars.
