Does Anyone Remember the Keller?

The Keller was a car made in Huntsville in the late 1940s and early 1950s. There's a few different articles about it on the Internet:

http://www.redstone.army.mil/history/auto/welcome.html
http://staugustine.com/stories/062005/sta_3154566.shtml
http://www.alabamaheritage.com/Issues/issue21.htm
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keller_(automobile)

What I'm wondering is since the car was so closely tied here--brainchild of Hartselle resident Hubert Mitchell, manufactured here in Huntsville, a restored car exists in Union Grove as of 2005. (I may have even taken a picture of it at a local show)--does anyone alive remember it?

Do you have any memories of the Keller? Or heard first-hand or second-hand account stories of it? I know it's an old car, but it's no older than some of the restored Buicks and Chevrolets I see almost every weekend. I think someone out there has an untold story about this unique little car that almost put Huntsville on the map before the space race.

we hauled one home last weekend, there will be a mini homecoming next week where two of the cars will get together, probably the first time in over 60 years where a paiur has been side by side!

The late Ron Barnett of Union Grove had one - not sure if his wife kept it after he passed away a couple of years ago (I haven't heard that she sold it so I think she still has it (she is very active in the antique car community/hobby). I saw the car several years ago while at their place but not sure of it's status today; however, according to VGeorge's post, it is at least in the area.

Pictures?

I have a disk somewhere with old Huntsville pictures,
and I remember seeing 2 or 3 shots taken on Redstone
when it was built.

Should I look for them?

There's a very special event tomorrow on the Arsenal that I just found out about. Two original Kellers along with a former employee will be reunited with the original production building before the building is demolished. This will be the first time in over 60 years that a Keller car will return to the original factory location and the first time also where two cars will be side by side in nearly the same timeframe.

I really wish I could make this, but there's just no way. But hopefully some of you out there can! It's around 2pm at building 4471 on the Arsenal.
