That would definitely be interesting in a truck. Why not autocross it now? Autocross is more about the driver, and getting seat time is the most important thing anyways imo.

Welcome fo the board.
I'm a Chrysler tech and would like to offer a little advise. The first gen Dakota is a pita with a V8. The only ones that had a V8 were the Shelby trucks, and they really really suck to work on. Your best bet would be to find a 2nd gen as a starting point, it's chassis was designed to hold a V8. you can get them for pretty cheap these days. Keep your truck as a daily driver and buy a 2nd gen so your not without a ride while building and swapping the 360.
Welcome to the car culture and I wish you luck on your project!

I would actually autocross it now before you make any suspension changes. This way, you'll only change what you really want and spend the money where you really need it. You may find that you don't want a front bar, only a rear, etc.

Welcome Josh! I'm relatively new myself, but I can offer some pretty decent insight on poly suspension/body parts and bushings. My S10 has the full complement with the exception of motor and tranny mounts. I've lowered mine 3" front, 4" rear. I've got a pretty good mobile toolset going on with my truck, lol. I've always wondered how well it'd do with autoX, just figured it'd be best if I put in my limited slip from a camaro in my S10 first, but who knows. Anyway, welcome bro, if you need something from me just give me a holler.
