Snow Day! Snow Day! Snow Day!

I missed the one over Christmas, but looks like someone heard my disappointment.

So what do you plan to do on the snow day? I'm going to be hanging with some local Subie owners for some wintertime fun. And any awd/4x4 owners are welcome to join us.

The last snow day the subie guys were bombing the Rally cross track and sledding on the side of the off ramps. The pray for snow.

Sounds like a plan! I've been told pool floats are great sleds.

I'll be attempting to get to work tomorrow in the Neon. Oh how I wish Dodge would have made the SRT4's AWD!

Well since Huntsville Hospital takes no excuses and people are still inevitably going to be needing surgery I will be going to work. I am lucky to have a 4x4 with good mud tires just in case.lol

The only thing that will stop me is if they close the bridge. There will be no way I can there if that happens. If they close the Whitesburg bridge then they will more than likely close the Decatur one and also the Guntersville. I am not dedicated enough to try and go all the way through Guntersville though!lol

Yep, here too in Madison. A friend of mine in South Atlanta said her car and the ground is already covered. I hope everything looks like that in the morning!

I've got about 2-3 inches on the ground already here in Madison.

And I observed a flash and then heard thunder! So I researched it, and according to a quote in this site, "When there is thunder and lightning during a snowstorm, it could mean that heavy snow may occur. According to Scientific American, “a 30-year study of snowfall found that when lightning is observed during a snowstorm, there is an 86 percent chance that at least six inches (15 centimeters) of snow will fall within 70 miles (113 kilometers) of the flash.”

Thundersnow storms are usually intense because they don’t move quickly. As a result, they bring heavy snowfall and many times, whiteout conditions."

WHOO HOOO!!!! I'm tempted to go get my gear on and go play right now.
