From Madison with Love

Hey, my name's Jake. From Madison. I do a lot of work on cars (very little work on my own car). I've installed a dozen or so lowering springs on Mustangs and several leveling kits on some trucks. I'm not afraid to tackle any job really, but it's nice to have the internet when I get stuck on a problem.

My cars are
1993 Geo Metro (I love this car, go ahead and hate.)
2004 Dodge Dakota

Welcome Jake! You won't find any hate here no matter what you drive. And feel free to add more to your intro thread:

I found this site by simply Googling "Huntsville Car Forum" I was hoping to meet some guys that had tools I could borrow and just simply make friends that "know" about cars. Luckily this site is relatively small so I can just use my real name...so there is no significance to it. My truck is just my truck. I don't really do anything special with it and I am actually planning to sell it in the future for a car. My Geo is my "pride and joy", I'll elaborate more when I have time, but it's safe to say that I will have my Geo for the rest of my life.

You'll find a good group of people that love to work on their own cars, have great knowledge, and are just as enthusiastic as you are.

It'll be really cool to see the pictures of the Geo. In an age when everyone wants better gas mileage, this car should be going up in value.

I'll get some tomorrow when it's daylight. I pay 600 for it 2 years ago, and I constantly turn down offers of 1,200 or more, the max I've been offered is 2k. If I can get a 2,500 dollar offer...I will sell it in a heartbeat.

That's definitely a good deal for a working car. Do you get 40mpg+ in it? Or do you think people are just offering that because they think it has great mileage.

I get 48mpg @ 72mph. If I slow down to 55mph I get 58mpg. If I use E0 (non ethanol) I get around 5-8% better gas mileage.

I noticed I get better with the non-ethanal,
32.5 mpg versus 28-29 mpg highway in a 6.0 L
