Sand Mountain Drive-In

We're going to the Drive-In! Saturday, Sept. 10. Sand Mountain Drive-In has two screens, each showing a double feature. Cost is $10 per carload, audio comes through your FM stereo, and the movies start at dusk. We'll likely leave Huntsville around 5pm.

I'll send an email out to all of our current active members with more details.

Mark

Where will you be meeting at to roll out? I'd like to be there and take a few shots and video of everyone. Of course, depending on my weekend schedule.

I sent an email to all of our members. We'll be departing Hardees (across from Huntsville Hospital) at 5pm on Saturday Sept 10. I hope we have a good turn out.

Is this event only open to Mustangs or club members? Or would you care if others tag along?

I would prefer the cars be "like-kind". V8 American would be a good example of like-kind.

Mark ,
Where on Sand Mountain is this drive-in ? I would be coming from Trenton, Ga. ? We have a couple around here but they don't have 2 screens .

Great turnout. We had a great representative set going down the highway.

65 Black convertible
66 Signalflare Red fastback
66 Emberglo convertible
87-93 Blue GT convertible
00 Black GT
02 Mineral Gray blown GT
05 Legend Lime convertible
05 Legend Lime/white LeMans stripes GT

We got to Boaz, and saw they had a cruise-in going at the Sonic. It was packed with Chevelles, Mopars, Mustangs, Vettes, Streetrods, etc. We pulled in there as a group and got their attention. Walked around there a bit, and then headed to the drive-in.

Sand Mountain drive-in kicks butt. Very nice facilities, CHEAP food, and first run movies.

Thanks to those that attended. Pics will show in the newsletter I'm sure.

That's very cool. I've always heard about the Boaz Cruise-in and even have it listed on my calendar of events. Sounds like it was a great time. I wish I could've been there.

It wouldn't have had the "GM vs Ford" impact without it. Although I think your GT is pretty sweet as well.

Although after cruising behind it for 1.5 hours, the exhaust drone gets a bit annoying.
