After a few years hiatus, this annual event is back in a major way.

As the organizers met at 10am on the grassy field, there was already Bland Allen's ride, complete with trailer, ready to register. And as we quickly set up, cars started to continuously roll in. By 1pm, half the show field was already full of cars.

And what a variety of cars there were--everything from modern, to antique, classic, exotic, import, domestic, race car--you name it, it was there!

And for the first time at any show in the area, there was a great turn out of exotics. There was a Porsche GT3RS, Audi R8, Corvette ZR1, classic Ferrari, Maserati Quatroporte, Hennesey Ford GT1000, and a twin-turbo Lingenfelter Corvette.

The dealerships also brought out some neat cars including the new Chevy Volt.

The great turnout of cars and beautiful weather brought out a large number of spectators. At the peak there were almost a thousand spectators roaming among the almost 200 cars on display.

But the sights were the only great things at the event. There were some great smells being served up by Brickhouse and Grille 29.

I shot a lot of video as everyone was rolling out, so you can hear some of these beauties as well as look at them.

The talented Harry borrowed one of my cameras and shot some really great pictures of the cars that remained after the show. Then we took turns shooting the GT3RS as it sat parked on the nightlit streets of Providence.

This was a really great event. I was very proud of the work by all the committee members and the end result. This is the car scene I've always envisioned with events supported by the businesses that garner support from enthusiasts, and the enthusiasts enjoying an event that benefits not only the businesses, but worthy causes right here in our backyard.

See everyone next year!

Good question. I've left a message for Ron. I don't recall which one it ended up being. We discussed both.

I know the proceeds go to charity and all, but will there be a discount for entering multiple cars. There is talk within the TVR/TAC group as showing up together and parking together at the show.

I was thinking about showing all three of my cars. The only problem is 3 cars and 2 drivers. I will need a volunteer to drive one of my cars from my house to Providence. Lol.

Link to discussion? George Bugg is involved in the planning meetings. I missed the last one, but if he doesn't mention something about it at the next one, I'll see what I can do.

Where's Lee? He drives them faster than you anyways, lol. I'm sure we could arrange a ride for you to go back and grab the 3rd one if you need a ride. Providence is just a few minutes from my place, so I may even be able to do it.

The TAC/TVR as a group was discussed and brought up at this evening's tac meeting. Mark R said that he would bring his formulaV car, Leon was going to bring his rabbit rally and I plan on bringing my cars. We will probably have a few more people when we post it on the tac forums.

I just confirmed with Ron:
The flyer is correct.
Registration is set at $10 for Early Bird, and $15 day of show.

Call the phone number in the listing and speak to Ron. He can guide you on all the specifics.

I plan on stopping by on my way back into town. I hate that I don't have anything to show or I actually would since it's for a good cause.

I can't show anything either. Just help bring more people to the event and you've still contributed to the cause.
