Autocross pictures from 9/18/2011 (Birmingham)

Okay I took quite a few shots on Sunday so Im doing as I did the last time and putting them all up on my site for you to view and as always if you wanted a couple just shoot me a message or send me an email with the file name and I email you a copy. If you choose to buy prints from the site thank you in advance, the money I make from this is very little and I mainly use it to continue paying for my site. As always I had a good time and enjoyed watching you guys and I will continue to come out and enjoy the events and taking pictures.

Again enjoy the pictures hope yall like them.

Awesome pics. Didn't drive the mr2 spyder this event. Co-drove in Laura's s2000 w/ the 112 BS number plates.

We are going to co-drive the spyder the next event in October. Please be back there and take lots of pics.

I've only seen 447. Maybe the upload stopped? I know that happens to me sometimes.

Yea, Ive had issues with uploading only once when I was uploading 1200 pictures. Right now my issue is Lightroom keeps crashing, which can be either lightroom or this POS laptop that i need to replace. Hopefully once I close on my house Ill get to buy my macbook pro and 27" imac to put in my basement studio.

If you saw the type of equipment I work with, you'd love that laptop. Hence, no post process for me--I can't even run the software.

Try doing this--just export them from lightroom and use the standard SM uploaders with the 'skip duplicates' option. That should do it.

Lightroom is the issue. Since I shot in RAW or NEF as nikon labels it the files are quite large and for some reason the last 300 images are locking lightroom up in return locking up the laptop, so i install capture NX which is nikons software and it works fine its just a very slow process.

Bummer. I wonder if one of the files are corrupt and causing it to crash. I've heard Lightroom is awesome. There's just no way I have even half the computing power needed to run it.

Oh, I'm not talking about Lightroom, but the raw files. Since they are raw, just one bit copied wrong might throw off the software. I usually copy and compare my image files before I delete them off the card for this exact reason.

Some really great stuff in there! Lots of familiar faces from up here.

At first I thought a lot of the cars were cut off, but then I realized you are using the square thumbnails which do that. If you want to change this, it's under Tools-->Gallery Settings. Just change the thumbnail setting to 'Original' from 'Square'. Personally, I like this better as it doesn't cut off heads, cars, etc.

If you need any help, just let me know. I know the system pretty much inside and out including the limitations.

Here in the next few weeks im going to revamp it and make it look like an actual site. As well as start a blog where Ill get in more details with the events and single cars I shoot, as well as portrait sessions. Once we get moved into our house ill actually have the time to give my hobby more attention.

Why not just post all that here? There's already tons of traffic.
