Happy New Rear

Not a typo. Spending this weekend pulling out the rear axle assembly on the GMQ, (with a broken track link stud). Out goes the open 2.73. Replacing it with a 2008, 3.27 trac-lock assembly with 17k on it. Will be a happy new rear, and some new scoot to the beast.

Happy New Year also...

lol on the title. This is the way I want to spend new year day--working on my cars. Can't wait to see the beast in action with the new rear end. Between that and your new found sideways driving skills, watching it on course should be a hoot.

Happy New Year everyone. May all of your new years wishes come true.

No way the Grand Marquis will be out at JHP AutoXing. At $1400 a set for the Eagle F1 Supercar tires, only MFS was an option for that car. I can get an entire set of rubber for the 325e for the price of two tires for the GMQ.

That's true. I never thought about it, but the Boxster won't see any autocrossing either as it was a MFS-only car too.

Oh what a happy new rear. Picked up the axle assembly at Freight Co, @ 2pm yesterday, finished installing it this morning. Heavy a** 8.8 rear. Like wrestling a fire hydrant around. Nice improvement.
