Dyno tuning shop?

I did a search of the forums and did not find much about this topic. I need a shop to tune my aftermarket EFI system on a chassis dyno. This must be an eddy current dyno, NOT the drum type (Dynojet). Looking for recommendations. The 2 that come to mind are Speedsouth in B-ham or Forged Performance in Marietta GA. Any recommendations of who to use or who to avoid?

Those two are the only closest ones that I can think of...

Forged Performance is good but it is 3+ hours away. TopSpeed in Alpharetta is another option also.

Distance of less than 400 miles is OK. My best tuner for this system is in Tucson. 1600 miles is NOT a good option.

I wouldn't cut corners on the tuning especially with all the work you've done recently on it. Ship it. I have a friend that does automotive logistics and is very good at it with reasonable prices: mycartransport.com. Tell her Samir says hi.

I've heard lots of good stuff about Forged Performance from lots of DSM guys with big turbos and/or stroker setups.

Forged is very hit or miss. Lethal Injection in alpharetta is very good, the owner is a pretty good friend of mine, and he is very straight forward and will not BS you about anything.

It really depends on how far you are willing to travel. Tuning dynamics in Austin is really really good. Kaizen tunng up north is very good aswell.

I don't think anyone in N.Alabama has a chassis load testing dyno. Most of the ones I know of and/or have used are just drum type dynos. You can basically only tune full throttle on that style of dyno. Which is okay for a drag guy. But if your serious into road course you need to be able to test the car at varying degrees of load and throttle.

Some people don't like to do cruise tuning on the street which is understandable.

There's one in Trussville, I think it's Walker Dynotune. I can't comment on much about it; I've only been there a few times to pick up my brother's car. Do we really not have one in Huntsville?

Yep, that's Lane Culver, Culver Auto Specialties I think. He does a lot of work for Hinson.

I know we have dynos in Huntsville, Decatur, Lacey Springs, and Moulton, but I'm just not sure which of each type.

Is this the same one that is used by SpeedSouth?

Yes
Butler recommended him
i know they set the speed record in TX last summer for an LSx car (or something to that nature)
I just haven't had time to go there and have a run done with the car
I did email him and seemed very nice

There is also a corvette specialty place in the TN area that is supposedly very high end, i can't remember any info about it though

Culver has a load dyno and is familiar with EFI. 882-2450 is the shop phone number.
