Anyone homebrew and/or enjoy good beer?

Just seeing if anyone is into homebrewing like I am, or good beers in general.

How long have you been brewing and/or what's your favorite beer??

No Bud Light jokes

Love me some Hefeweizen beers!

Paulaner Hefeweizen is probably one of my favorites.

Shiner Bock is another favorite.

I love some Rouge Dead guy ale, almost any IPA or double IPA, wheat ales are good as well.

Also for cheap, i love some Abita Andy Gator.

If you haven't been...go to The Nook on Bob Wallace. Huge selection and lots of awesome beers on draft.

I agree with Beck, Paulaner Hefeweizen is one of my favorite and I have become fond of Sweetwater IPA as well recently.

I'm a huge Cigar City fan. Their IPA (Jai Alai) is my all time favorite. Went to the nook once so far, plan to spend quite some time there.

I know MadPSIentist on here does a lot of homebrewing. Very cool guy too. He's part of the local Subaru group.

I have to admit though that I have absolutely no idea what you guys are talking about. I don't drink, so that's probably part of it, but I had no idea there was so much variety and terms in beers. I learned something new today.

The Nook is great and Mellow Mushroom has a great assortment of imported and local beers as well.

There is a poster floating around the net that lists "all" the different styles and sub-groups of those styles of beers. It's an easy 2000 if you counted them up I'm sure.

I'll have to catch up with MadPSIentist, would like to start brewing up here with some people.

I went in there the other day and couldn't hardly see inside. It was super loud and really dark. I have been to liquor express to buy bottles, and the place right by publix has a decent selection. I may have to give S&S another go.

Has anyone been to the wine place in Bridge Street? I don't know if they carry beers too or not.

Go straight to the patio out back. The waitress will take care of you out there and you don't have to fight the crowd. Its a nice patio to.

I think they may have a few specialty beers but nothing compared to other places around here. They do have lots of different wines and cigars though. One of the better cigar selections around.

Ahhh, I knew they were more than a wine place, but couldn't remember what else.

I developed an appreciation for weizens when I was in Germany. Weihenstephaner is my favorite with Paulaner coming in 2nd. This beer talk is making me want one now...

Wasn't aware there was even a patio there. Any idea if they allow pups? I need to find a beer bar or something that will let my dog come hang with me.

I just had a Sierra Nevada Kellerweis, have some Bell's Oarman and a few others but not sure what to have tonight. Thought about going to S&S but I may save that for tomorrow. I'll be at Blue Pants Thursday evening.

My friend's parents from high school own the Lone Goose Saloon downtown and they are a pet friendly establishment on the patio. I believe they even give drink discounts if you bring them!

I handed out some wrong info on my favorite. Its Green Flash Hophead Red(not Tall Grass). Also its has been bumped down by the local Straight to Ale Monkeynaut IPA. It has been a favorite of mine but when they started canning it, it made the jump to the top. Liquor Express has it and I think Stem&Stein got a few cases yesterday.
