An autocross is a skill driving event in which one car at a time negotiates a prescribed course, using traffic cones to define a variety of turns. The course is set up so that you are operating in lower gears. During each run you will be able to drive your car at it's limit of acceleration, turning, and braking...and yours. You will develop a sense of timing, judgment, and ability to interpret your vehicle's handling characteristics - at safe speeds and in a safe place.

Crap I've got an event that I'm already signed up for that day. I'm hoping to make it out to the next event. The g/f has been wanting to try her tsx and I wouldn't mind giving it a go myself.

Weather looks great this weekend. Highs in the upper 70's. Great autocross weather. Food will be available onsite by Cajun Chris. Cost will be $6 a plate (drink included). I will be driving sok07's white Mazdaspeed3 to prep for the SCCA National and ProSolo Tours next weekend in Blytheville, AR. If you want to ride along feel free to ask.
