Little River Canyon Run and Meet
Calendar: Events Calendar
ray
July 14th 10:00 AM to 05:30 PM
*The times shown may change, depending on DST settings
Where: Little River Canyon, Fort Payne, AL
Contact: Ray

This will be the next official meet for the North Alabama Mitsubishi Owners and should be a great time! I plan to have a strong showing from the Huntsville Flat Four group as well.

Anyone is welcome but the only thing I ask is that your car is up to snuff on handling. This is a somewhat technical run/cruise and I want to make sure everyone has fun but is safe at the same time. You can still come along but you may need to drive at the back of the group once we arrive at the canyon if you do not have a car that can handle or if you have any doubts about handling your car. I'm sure a few gracious drivers will be willing to let you ride with them as well.

Lunch will be in an area where everyone has options. We will park in a parking lot that has access to Cracker Barrel, Santa Fe Cattle Company and Ruby Tuesdays. This way no one is separated and everyone can choose whatever they desire for lunch. There is a map here (http://goo.gl/maps/nXgB) in the event people just want to meet there or get separated from the main group during the drive into Fort Payne.

Here is the rough plan, subject to change:
  • 9:30-10am
    Meet in Huntsville at:

    Lowe's Home Improvement
6584 Hwy 431 S, Owens Cross Roads, AL
    http://goo.gl/maps/JpyR

Meet there as close to 9:30am as possible because we leave at 10am.
  • 10am
Leave from location on the way to Little River Canyon in Fort Payne
  • 11:30am-12pm
Arrive in Fort Payne for lunch
  • 1:30pm
Lunch ends. Drive to the entrance of Little River Canyon Parkway
  • Talk, stage and drive the canyon forward and then stop at the end for a bit and drive back through to the starting point
  • 3:30pm
Leave Fort Payne and drive back into Huntsville
  • 5:00-5:30pm
Arrive at the Cafe 302 Car Show
Upload your media here to have it appear below.

That's definitely a thought. I have no idea what that weekend holds at the moment though. Too far out to plan.

We are telling you what it holds and where you should be

But on another note I met with Dana today and he is going to spread this event into the Subaru crowd. Should be a good time for everyone!

But life may have other plans for me. There's always something unplanned that comes up. Like tonight a stupid memory card may have died.

Having that navigation to see when the corners are coming up also helps

And the world of video games and reality converges even more, lol.

That would probably freak me out a little getting the deja-vu of playing video games as a kid.

Except there's no reset if you go too far off course.
