The Ultimate Car Enthusiast Wedding

So if you had any budget, and could do any crazy idea you could, what would be the ultimate car enthusiast wedding you can think of? I've got some ideas, but want to hear yours first.

camp grounds at Talladega... 5 gallon buckets for the chairs....

lol

ok but seriously i'd probably be happy with a mountain getaway in the Smokies and then hit the Dragon's Trail... that is pretty much the car enthusiast hot spot in the Southeast and probably one of the top ones in the entire country...

I guess because even as a car guy, I picture my wedding on a white sandy beach and probably wouldn't associate cars with it too much

Definitely agree on having it near Deal's Gap, most amazing drive EVER. But instead of taking the personal car, we'd have to rent a GTR or some other curve carver. Now for the honeymoon.....Germany, so you can drive the Autobahn and Nurburgring

Party at Barber Motorsports Park! Don't they have an indoor place for events? I know they have the motorcycle museum. That would probably cost a pretty penny for rentals and it would be cool if guests could responsibly drive the track as well

ANY budget?

I'd go to Monaco for an F1 race and rent a condo overlooking the track. So many nice cars, yachts, etc. there .

Wait, that might be a better honeymoon? Ah, whatever.

ask anyone that knows me and they will tell you, i'm a car guy through and through, but i can honestly say, i wouldn't change a single thing about my wedding. weddings generally aren't guy things, but i enjoyed mine very much. great friends, great food, great music, at a great location at the perfect time of year, and perfect time of day....

Interesting indeed.

I've never had much to do with weddings, but show up with a ring and a cheat sheet that reads "I do".

I'd probably have to have a modest wedding and purchase an exotic with the remaining wedding fund. Boring, maybe, but I'd be enjoying the marriage even when she's not around.

I'll never understand the logic behind an extravagant wedding and huge honey moon. Then again...I don't think it should take a multi-thousand dollar ring to show that you want to keep her around for a while.

I have been married almost 13 years and we got married in a church that prolly isn't much bigger than my dart. But when my oldest gets married(as long as I like the guy) she will have a very nice wedding. But if I had it to do all over again prolly me and the old lady prolly would get married at the Mopar Nationals.

Some really cool ideas! I really like the F1 race in Monaco. For me, I think Paris will end up being the main honeymoon option since me and the mrs-to-be met there.

And I also really like the Barber Motorsports Park idea. I wonder how much that might cost...

Because I'm of Indian heritage and Indian weddings are lavish affairs with all sorts of crazy events like a parade with you and your best friends to the bride's house (replaced in modern day ceremonies with a rented venue of some sort), I've been racking my brain on how to merge being a car enthusiast with a crazy Indian wedding. One idea was to replace the colorful, crazy parade with a car equivalent.

So this:

Becomes this:

With a parade from some start point to the destination. Thoughts?

A Super Cruise-in!

I think you should have an open invite to a cruise-in
for all of HCS.

If we *have to* we could always fake your death announcement
again so everyone would show up!

All the cars should park facing each other with just
enough room for you and the bride to walk between them.

Did you find your ultimate ride yet?

That sounds pretty awesome! My brother set that up at our engagement, but with people. It was really awesome to walk through with all the familiar faces smiling back at us. I could only imagine doing that in the Boxster top-down with everyone honking at us and cheering us on!

Lol, I don't know where we'd even find a road long enough.

We would definitely need a parade permit, and I don't know how hard one would be to obtain for such a long distance.
