need help... need to borrow a tool

hello,

i need to borrow an ground control suspension wrench. i think any adjustable suspension wrench will work. it looks like a large 'C' with a handle.

i bought a used set of springs and they did not come with the wrench. ive installed them on the car, and the backs adjusted fine, but the fronts are slammed and i need the wrench to get the nose up before i can even drive it to the alignment shop.

i live in harvest, and my cell no. is - 1-256-694-0525

if you have one, PLEASE let me borrow it. i can meet you and leave you a deposit while i am borrowing it. or you can come to the house and see my ride while im using the wrench.

thanks in advance

I've got some Tein spanner wrenches, but since they are my only set I don't want them to leave my sight. I am only available after work .... between 5pm - 6pm.

Shoot me over an email to sok07@yahoo.com, and I'll give you my contact info. Left my cellphone at home today, so I will forward you my work phone.

Also go ahead and send your street address w/ the email so I can map it. I work out in research park and will be in Madison later this afternoon ... so I'm not too far off.

blakdak91, do you have an aftermarket camber kit on your car? I also have Ground Control coilovers on my car. I took mine to an alignment shop and they said they can't align lowered cars. I need to get a camber kit and take my car to an aftermarket shop that isn't afraid to work with modified cars.

Topline on the Parkway, by Govenors, does lowered cars with altered suspension. They did mine, I have H&R suspension. My car is pretty low as well, and they had no problem. I dont have a Camber kit, only cause my car did not need one. My car was also set at 0 al the way around, GOTTA LOVE THAT GERMAN ENGINEERING.lol

i have one, but its not installed yet. i have the full ingalls kit for the 3rd gen lude.

according to the instructions. you are to drop the car then align it as best you can through the OEM adjustment, then install the kit and adjust only the kit to get camber correct.

getting her aligned saturday at LBJ on south parkway. and ill be running the streets late saturday ....

so look out

she has not been the road sense before Xmas.

good deal. munchie you are lucky that you don't have to mess with any other suspension parts. I wore out my rear tires in about 2.5 months so I'm not as lucky lol. I raised my car up for the time being until i can decide on a camber kit and get it aligned and everything. My front bumper sticks out so far that i can't lower it as much as some hondas etc, but it will be low enough.

but his car is not that low. i would not need the kit if i only dropped it an inch or two.

i bet you can put the nose of my lude under a coffee table

who.. me ? maybe so, im not bagged.

but that pic was taken after i got sok07's wrench and raised the nose

when i first set her down sunday, i had to get another jack to raise the side to get the first jack out from under her .. haha

she had about 2" of ground clearance under the car.

with the super low hoodline found on 3rd gens, i dont think any car is lower in the front....except maybe some exotic.

Stock Corvettes are pretty low, and then there's mine. To simply get a jack under the car, I have to drive it up on blocks and then on a ramp to get enough clearance for a jack. I really need to get a lift soon...

haha...It's such a pain!! I have to think where I will be driving it so I won't get into a bad situation such as getting stuck on a speed bump or something.

On the Corvette Forum, they suggest checking the side rocker panels on used Vettes to see if they've gotten stuck somewhere--and this is for stock ones.

But I wouldn't trade that car for anything. It's wonderful.

I have gotten used to driving at an angle to get into almost any sloped driveway or parking lot. It can be annoying at times having such a low car for a daily driver, but I just have to be careful or I will leave my bumper in the middle of the road. BTW, has anyone seen that silver EK hatch driving around with green rotas? If it is the same one i saw at the dragstrip and the Buckhorn show, it is turboed and has an HID conversion. It is extremely low.
